About The Role
As the Director, Capital Markets & Ecosystem Partnerships, you will report to the Chief Capital Officer, and support the growth of Figure Lending Partnership ecosystem and our capital markets strategy. This individual is responsible for managing and leading certain capital markets projects, including but not limited to: Figure Connect Marketplace, warehouse facility negotiations and operations, and new Business Development.
The Director will be partnering with our technology, credit, operations, marketing, legal, compliance, and finance teams. You will be developing and maintaining strategic relationships both with external and internal stakeholders to support the firm’s liquidity needs.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Chief Capital Officer to oversee all aspects of the newly launched Figure Connect Marketplace primarily focusing on origination but working with the team ensure successful warehousing and seamless distribution.
- Establish framework and metrics to assess ecosystem partner performance to optimize both volume and margin
- Work with leadership to develop a roadmap for capital markets and partnership expansion, ensuring alignment with Figure’s broader goals
- Get originators (non-Figure LOS/AUS) on Figure Connect to drive more volume
- Clarify and sell value propositions to these originators, which may include better execution and potentially small warehouse advances
- Establish pricing strategy related to non-Figure LOS partners, including margin/revenue share among originator, Figure, adapter partner, and investors
- Evaluate new loans and other ABF opportunities on Figure Connect based on originator supply and investor demand
- Explore partnerships with large/national vertical SaaS, horizontal SaaS, marketplace, retailer, OEM, and service partners
- Launch new products specifically tailored to this ecosystem
- Act as a liaison between Partnerships, Capital Markets, Product, and Engineering teams, to define go-to-market strategies for new products and ensure successful launch
- Explore other lower-conviction ecosystems
- Work with cross-functional teams to help develop new products that Figure can bring to market. Each of these products will require warehousing and ultimately find a path to execution via Figure Connect.
What We Look For
- Experience in mortgage and consumer banking origination, whole loans, and asset-backed securities; capital markets, hedging, trading, pricing; securitization; and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in origination partnerships
- A deep understanding of various financing products and structures is strongly preferred.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive PowerPoint and modeling skills, and capacity to use Intex and Bloomberg in a professional daily setting.
- Strong network in the financial sector with institutional investors and funds, specifically in consumer and residential loans.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead with respect.
- Exceptional organizational skills
- A person that thrives on taking a project from inception to completion, and is willing to get into the weeds to find creative solutions.
- An individual with a strong passion and desire to leverage technology to improve financial services
Salary
- Compensation Range: $150,000-$200,000/yr
- Quarterly 25% bonus target
- Equity stock options package
- This is the compensation range for the United States, actual compensation may vary based on individual candidate experience, location, or evolving business needs
