About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Capital Markets Operations Coordinator to manage core operational processes across multiple lending products, with a focus on Residential Transitional Loans (RTLs) as well as other mortgage programs. In addition to overseeing funding and draw workflows, this role will lead efforts to manage and resolve operational and technical issues on our proprietary Portfolio Manager platform, ensuring smooth execution for both internal teams and external partners.
This position bridges daily operational execution with process improvement, technology support, and cross-functional coordination, helping to maintain efficiency, compliance, and scalability across the lending platform.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate the end-to-end funding process for multiple loan products, including initial disbursements and subsequent construction draws.
- Review and approve draw requests, verifying compliance with loan agreements, budgets, and inspection reports.
- Liaise with borrowers, contractors, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate fundings.
- Maintain accurate records of commitments and disbursements for reporting to finance and capital markets teams.
- Serve as the primary operational lead for managing and resolving issues within the Portfolio Manager platform.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to troubleshoot, test, and implement system enhancements.
- Track recurring technical or workflow issues and recommend long-term solutions to improve platform stability and user experience.
- Support the development and refinement of RTL and other mortgage programs, including workflow design, pricing feedback, and operational readiness.
- Research market trends and competitor practices to identify improvement opportunities.
- Document and maintain standard operating procedures for all assigned workflows.
- Partner with Product, Credit, Capital Markets, and Finance teams to align operational processes with strategic business objectives.
- Assist in preparing materials for internal reporting, investor diligence, and partner communications.
What We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 3–5 years in mortgage operations, lending, or real estate finance, ideally with exposure to construction or transitional loan funding.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization.
- Familiarity with SQL for data querying and reporting; Python or R for data analysis and automation is a plus.
- Experience with workflow automation tools and API-based integrations.
- Comfortable working with loan origination systems (LOS), portfolio management platforms, and CRM tools.
- Ability to create and interpret reports and dashboards in BI tools such as Tableau.
- Basic understanding of system architecture, data pipelines, and UAT (user acceptance testing) processes.
- Experience with operational issue resolution and/or technology platform support preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
Salary
- Compensation Range: $110,000 - $130,000
- 25% annual bonus target, paid quarterly
- Equity stock options package
