Business Development Manager Home Improvement & Solar
About Figure
Figure (NASDAQ: FIGR) is transforming capital markets through blockchain. We’re proving that blockchain isn’t just theory - it’s powering real products used by hundreds of thousands of consumers and institutions.
By combining blockchain’s transparency and efficiency with AI-driven automation, we’ve reimagined how loans are originated, funded, and traded in secondary markets. From faster processing times to lower costs and reduced bias, our technology is helping borrowers, investors, and financial institutions achieve better outcomes.
Together with our 170+ partners, we’ve originated over $22 billion in home equity loans (HELOCs) on our blockchain-native platform, making Figure the largest non-bank provider of home equity financing in the U.S. Figure’s ecosystem also includes YLDS, an SEC-registered yield-bearing stablecoin that operates as a tokenized money market fund, and several other products and platforms that are reshaping consumer finance and capital markets.
We’re proud to be recognized as one of Forbes’ Most Innovative Fintech Startups in 2025 and Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in Finance and Personal Finance.
About the Role
As a Business Development Manager at Figure Lending, you'll help transform how contractors fund big-ticket home improvement projects. We're looking for a proven relationship builder who can go beyond one-off prospecting to develop partnerships with real scale: multi-location contractors, regional players, franchise operators, and growing organizations with meaningful project volume.
You'll own the full partnership cycle, from identifying and qualifying high-potential targets to structuring the relationship, launching it with our PDM team, and nurturing it through early growth.
What You’ll Do
- Build and manage a pipeline of contractor and channel partnerships with an emphasis on volume potential and strategic fit
- Develop multi-threaded relationships with owners, sales leaders, and operations teams at target organizations
- Present compelling, solutions-driven value propositions tailored to each partner's business model and sales process
- Coordinate onboarding and training with our PDMs to activate partners quickly and effectively
- Maintain a healthy, transparent pipeline using proven outreach systems and CRM tools
- Prospect & Qualify: Identify and research potential partners, conduct discovery calls, and qualify opportunities based on business volume, organizational maturity, and strategic fit
- Sales & Negotiation: Present partnership value propositions, navigate multi-stakeholder decision processes, negotiate terms, and close new partnerships
- Partner Launch & Growth: Coordinate onboarding, conduct training sessions, ensure successful activation, and stay engaged through the early growth phase to drive adoption and volume
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a consistent prospect pipeline using CRM systems and systematic outreach strategies, with accurate forecasting on your book of business
- Sell in the Field: Promote Figure at trade shows and industry events, and meet both prospective and existing partners onsite in the field
What We Look For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5-7 years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably in financial services, construction, or point-of-sale financing
- Working knowledge of the home improvement industry and how contractors sell, operate, and make financing decisions
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets, with experience closing deals involving multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, comfortable presenting to owners and leadership teams
- Experience in partnership development or channel sales
- Familiarity with lending products and consumer financing, HELOC experience a plus
- Strong CRM discipline and prospecting skills
- Regular travel is expected (trade shows, partner onsite meetings, industry events)
- Adhere to all company security policies and data handling procedures
- Complete mandatory security awareness training within required timeframes
- Promptly report any suspected security incidents or suspicious activity to the Security team
