Senior Reliability Test Engineer

Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.
We are looking for a Senior Reliability Test Engineer to be in charge of designing and executing test plans for our humanoid robots to ensure that they are meeting our lifetime reliability targets. We are looking for someone with a strong testing background who is able to design and execute test stands to autonomously run to test modules of the system ranging from actuators to batteries.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute accelerated life reliability tests spec for actuators, batteries, structures, bushings, wirings, sensors and full system
- CAD design of fixtures to run tests in CATIA V6
- Create schematics and layout for PCB interface boards
- Electrical diagnostics on test stand level equipment
- Python scripting ability
- Author test procedures
- Get hundreds of modules on test running autonomously
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in test engineering, reliability test, or durability testing
- Bachelor's degree or higher in related field
- Strong knowledge of 3D CAD with designing, implementing, and executing test setups for novel components
- Strong knowledge in developing accelerated life reliability testing spec
- Ability to write code, ability to program automatic test setups
- General electrical debugging experience (power supplies, oscilloscope, DMM, etc.)
- Experience with high temperature high humidity, thermal shock, thermal cycling, Heat Soak, HALT, and vibration
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with designing and executing test plans for mobile robots
- Experience with electric motors, various gearboxes, or actuators
- Experience with batteries or battery powered systems
- Experience with Altium
- Experience with FEA
- Experience with testing standards such as JESD22-A104, ISO16750-1, UL2595, and GMW3172
- Experience with pyvisa, pyserial, pandas, seaborn, numpy
- Experience with Weibull++, JMP, or related statistics software
- Knowledge of failure analysis tools and techniques such as SEM/EDS, CT-Xray, XPS, FTIR
