Systems Integration Engineer – Hands

Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. 

We are looking for a Systems Integration Engineer to lead the bring-up, validation, and triage of our custom hand.

Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and technician teams to plan and execute first article bring-ups
  • Build and oversee the execution of benchtop validation
  • Plan and execute integration into the full robot stack and subsequent on-robot validation
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of integration processes, test plans, and validation results
  • Perpetually respond to on-robot failures, including coordinating failure analysis and driving solutions from conception to working on robot
  • Drive diagnostics needs to speed up root-cause analysis and on-robot health checks

Requirements: 

  • Relevant experience integrating custom mechatronic systems for real products
  • Depth in one or more of the following areas: electrical, firmware, controls, or mechanical
  • Excellent communication and planning skills
  • Hands-on, highly technical approach to integration

Bonus Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience working robotic manipulators
  • Prior experience working with humanoids
  • Prior leadership experience

 

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $170,000 - $250,000 annually.

The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
