Staff Quality Engineer, Mechanical
Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot, Figure 02, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build.
We are looking for a Staff Quality Engineer to define an internal quality plan to help improve our yield rate in manufacturing robots.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality plans and procedures for internal processes and products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain) to resolve quality-related issues.
- Investigate root causes of product defects and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze data from testing and inspection reports to improve product reliability and performance.
- Create and maintain documentation related to quality standards, procedures, and inspections.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing engineering
- Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action processes, and problem-solving methodologies
- Proficiency with quality inspection tools, testing methodologies, and statistical analysis.
- Desire to work in a startup environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and industrial engineering principles
- Experience with robotic systems, automation, or electromechanical devices.
- Expert at GD&T
Bonus Qualifications:
- CATIA V6 experience
- Knowledge of supplier quality management and working with global supply chains
- Familiarity with statistical software (JMP)
- Robotics or other high tech industry experience
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $180,000 - $260,000 annually.
The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
