HMI Lead
Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot, Figure 02, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build.
We are seeking an HMI Design Lead to shape the future of human-to-humanoid robot interaction. In this pivotal role, you will craft, develop, and execute a visionary design strategy, redefining how people engage with advanced robotics. Collaborating closely with Figure’s AI and system integration teams, you will tackle the challenges of this groundbreaking frontier in machine interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop visually stunning and engaging designs that simplify and communicate complex concepts with clarity and impact.
- Lead the end-to-end design process, from initial concept development to seamless implementation across Figure’s fleet of humanoid robots.
- Define and architect the robot’s interaction framework for diverse environments, including commercial spaces and residential settings.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital assets that power the Figure humanoid UI interface.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of real world design experience in a commercial organization
- A portfolio showing relevant project experience
- Experience shipping products
- Proficiency in various design and UX prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe Products, Blender, etc)
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with Unreal Engine
- A strong network of industry partners to help accelerate the deployment of Figure products.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $180,000 - $280,000 annually.
The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
