Sr Hardware Analysis Engineer-Aero/Acoustic

Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA.
We are looking for a Senior Hardware Analysis Engineer specializing in aerodynamics and acoustics to design, simulate, and optimize airflow and acoustic performance across our humanoid’s cooling systems.
Responsibilities:
- Lead CFD simulations for all active cooling systems.
- Design and optimize fans, heat sinks and flow paths for maximum efficiency and acoustic quality.
- Perform aeroacoustic modeling and NVH analysis to minimize noise and vibration.
- Build and validate CFD models for steady-state and transient flow simulations, and correlate these models through wind tunnel, bench, and acoustic chamber testing to improve prediction accuracy.
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of fluid dynamics, heat transfer and acoustic
- Extensive experience in fan design and optimization, including impeller geometry, ducting, and flow-path refinement.
- Expert in CFD modeling tools (Star-CCM+, Ansys Fluent, or OpenFOAM).
- Solid understanding of numerical modeling concepts
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $170,000 - $200,000 annually.
