ABOUT THE ROLE
This position currently reports directly to the Controller for Bedrock Manufacturing Company, LLC (“BMC”) and will be an integral part of the Accounting and Finance team for BMC and its subsidiaries: Shinola/Detroit and CC Filson. The role is based in the Seattle Area requiring at least 4 days in office at the Filson Headquarters located above the Filson Flagship store in SoDo. The successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented and analytical, with excellent problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills are a must, as is the ability to work well as part of a growing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the accounts payable cycle, including receiving, routing, coding, and entering vendor invoices into the company’s new ERP System: NetSuite
- Generate payments for approval including checks and wire transfers based on the due date of invoices
- Match supplier invoices to purchase orders and review and maintain accurate financial records for all financial transactions
- Foster vendor and business partner relationships with a customer service mindset
- Handling vendors' inquiries and concerns regarding payment status, resolving discrepancies, and negotiating payment terms
- Participate in the monthly financial statement close, including reconciling assigned balance sheet accounts and recording journal entries
- Assist finance department with annual financial statement audit and semi-annual physical inventory counts
- Regularly evaluate workflow and continuously improving accounting systems, controls, and procedures; improve processes and increase efficiency
- Resolving billing discrepancies
- Coordinating with other accountants to ensure accurate records
- Perform other related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
- 2+ years of experience in a related field
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and NetSuite
- Attention to detail
- Integrity, honesty and high ethical standards
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- A quick learner and a problem solver

Salary range:
$70,000 - $80,000 USD
