Location: New York, NY or San Francisco, CA
Salary Range: $105,000 – $120,000 per year

Financial Technology Partners LP (“FT Partners” or the “Firm”) is looking for a highly analytical and driven Research Business and Development Associate to join our team in either New York or San Francisco. This role is ideal for someone with deep fintech knowledge and a strong grasp of blockchain and cryptocurrency markets, who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Role Overview:
As a Research Business and Development Associate, you will support the firm’s business development efforts by identifying strategic opportunities, performing deep industry research, and helping maintain strong market intelligence across the global fintech landscape.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth research and analysis of fintech, blockchain, and crypto sectors to support deal sourcing and market strategy

Monitor industry trends, company performance, investment activity, and emerging technologies

Assist senior team members in developing client targeting strategies and preparing outreach materials

Maintain and enhance internal databases of market intelligence, transaction activity, and competitive dynamics

Collaborate with investment banking and marketing teams to align business development priorities
Required Qualifications:

3–5 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, venture capital, corporate strategy, or a related field

Strong knowledge and experience in blockchain and cryptocurrency is required

Deep understanding of fintech market dynamics and emerging trends

Superior research, writing, and presentation skills

Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution; advanced degree or MBA is a plus
Compensation:

Base Salary: $105,000 – $120,000
