Equity Research Summer Analyst – FinTech Investment Banking

Position: Financial Technology Partners is seeking Equity Research Summer Analysts.

Role Description

FT Partners Equity Research Department will be delivering a highly differentiated research product and is in search of Equity Research Summer Analysts to provide research support for our Senior Research Analysts. Successful candidates will work directly with our Senior Analysts on several aspects of the research process including building and maintaining models, performing fundamental analysis, writing research reports and creating presentations, and interacting with sales, corporate management, and clients. The job offers excellent exposure to the FinTech sector, the ability to work directly with highly respected Senior Analysts, and the opportunity for an attractive career path at a very successful and fast-growing investment bank.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong industry knowledge of the FinTech industry
  • Contribute to the generation of investment ideas
  • Interpret data and perform analysis on market, economic and technology trends
  • Develop and maintain financial models
  • Write reports / notes on companies under coverage and key industry topics
  • Create presentation materials
  • Communicate with internal sales force, clients and company management teams

General Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or Master students with a graduation date of December 2026 - June 2027
  • Undergraduate degree with a 3.5 GPA or greater
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong team orientation
  • Working knowledge of accounting, finance, and securities valuation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Comfortable taking initiative and being resourceful / entrepreneurial
  • Ability to multi-task and work with numerous teams
  • Strong interest in the FinTech sector
  • Internship experience in equity research, investment banking, and/or the FinTech industry is preferred
  • U.S. work authorization required. FT Partners will not sponsor applicants for work visas at application or in the future

The annual salary for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $100,000/year. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
