IT Support Engineer – FinTech Investment Banking

Location: New York City

Work Model: Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 days remote)

Position

Financial Technology Partners ("FT Partners") is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join our New York office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated IT professional looking to build their career in a fast-paced, high-performance investment banking environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first-line technical support to our investment banking professionals, maintaining local office technology, provisioning user devices, assisting with user administration, and ensuring a seamless technology experience across the New York office. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, exceptional customer service, and the ability to thrive in a demanding, client-focused environment.

Role Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for desktop and end-user technical support in the New York office
  • Troubleshoot Windows laptops, Microsoft 365, hardware, software, printers, and peripheral devices
  • Image, deploy, configure, and maintain laptops and workstations
  • Provision and deprovision user accounts, laptops, and equipment for new hires and departures
  • Create and administer Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID user accounts
  • Manage/administer enterprise AI (artificial intelligence) tools and platforms
  • Manage NTFS file permissions, security groups, and shared resources
  • Support conference room technology, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and AV equipment
  • Assist with local office networking, hardware installations, and cabling
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and technical documentation
  • Coordinate with vendors and senior IT staff to resolve infrastructure issues
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining ownership through resolution
  • Deliver responsive, professional, white-glove technical support to employees at all levels of the organization

 

Must Have

  • 1–3 years of IT support, desktop support, or systems administration experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments
  • Microsoft 365 administration and end-user support
  • Experience imaging, deploying, and configuring Windows laptops
  • Basic Active Directory administration
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills
  • Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, gateways, Wi-Fi, and switching fundamentals
  • Outstanding customer service skills with a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • U.S. work authorization required. FT Partners will not sponsor applicants for work visas now or in the future.
  • Ability to occasionally support early morning, evening, or weekend maintenance activities when business needs require.
  • Ability to lift and move standard desktop equipment and workstations as needed.

Salary: $115,000 plus 10-15% bonus potential
