Podiatrist for Facility Housecalls (East Valley)

Phoenix East Valley, Arizona

FIND Healthcareers is a healthcare recruitment firm led by professionals who operate within the system — not outside of it. We partner with growing healthcare organizations across the U.S. to build clinical, operational, and leadership teams that improve how care is delivered.

We recruit across the full spectrum of healthcare talent — from Licensed Practical Nurses and Physicians to practice managers and operational leaders. Whether through direct hire, contract, or temp-to-hire placements, we connect candidates with environments where they can perform and organizations with people who actually move the needle.

Backed by strong relationships across healthcare networks and training programs, we don’t just fill roles — we align talent with real-world operational needs.

Our client is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Podiatrist to provide care in the Phoenix East Valley. This opportunity is suited to a clinician who values lasting patient relationships, collaborative care, and the ability to reach patients who face barriers to traditional office visits.

The Role

The successful candidate will assess and treat conditions affecting the feet, ankles, and related lower extremity structures, providing initial evaluations, ongoing care, and visits for urgent concerns appropriate to the setting.

Care will primarily be delivered through scheduled visits within an assigned geographic area. Clinic-based care and telehealth may also form part of the role when available and clinically appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat podiatric conditions, including those associated with diabetes, neuropathy, impaired circulation, and reduced mobility.

  • Perform comprehensive foot and ankle examinations and identify patients at risk for ulcers, infection, or other complications.

  • Provide preventive foot care and medically necessary treatments within the provider’s scope of practice and available resources.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and other tests when clinically indicated.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and recommend orthotics or other supportive interventions.

  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on foot health, footwear, preventive care, and treatment follow-through.

  • Coordinate with primary care providers, wound-care specialists, and other members of the care team.

  • Recognize conditions requiring additional evaluation, specialist referral, or a higher level of care.

  • Communicate clearly with patients, authorized representatives, caregivers, and facility staff.

  • Complete accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

  • A Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree.

  • An active Arizona podiatry license in good standing, or eligibility and willingness to obtain licensure before starting.

  • Board certification or board eligibility in podiatry.

  • An active DEA registration.

  • Two to four years of podiatric experience preferred.

  • Strong clinical judgment and confidence caring for patients with complex medical needs.

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, patient-centered approach.

  • Comfort using electronic health records, mobile devices, and telehealth technology.

  • The ability to travel to assigned patient locations in the Prescott and/or Cottonwood area.

  • Experience working with older adults or providing care in residential and facility settings is valued.

The Opportunity

  • Deliver specialty care directly to patients who may have difficulty accessing a traditional office.

  • Build continuity through ongoing patient relationships.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary primary and specialty care team.

  • Serve an assigned geographic area, with scheduling designed to support efficient travel.

  • Discuss compensation, scheduling, and engagement options during the interview process.
