About the Role
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst plays a critical role in analyzing business data to support strategic decision-making. This position involves collecting, interpreting, and presenting data insights to stakeholders, ensuring data accuracy, and identifying trends that drive business growth and efficiency. The BI Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, marketing, and operations, to develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data to provide actionable insights for business operations and strategy. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik. Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Data Management:
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data across various systems. Collaborate with data engineers and IT teams to ensure proper data architecture and pipelines. Support data cleansing and transformation processes to maintain high-quality data sources.
- Business Insights:
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical deliverables. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and effective communication. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of business strategies.
- Tool Development & Maintenance:
- Design and implement BI tools and systems for efficient data retrieval and reporting.
- Stay updated on emerging BI technologies and recommend improvements to current systems. Train team members and stakeholders on using BI tools and understanding data insights.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in a BI, data analytics, or related role. Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
- Experience with SQL for querying databases.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and data modeling.
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python (preferred).
- Understanding of various data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data visualization and presentation techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehouse design.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $100K - $140K+ (depending on experience).
