About the Role
The Credit & Risk Analyst will be responsible for evaluating creditworthiness, conducting identity risk reviews (KYC/KYB), and managing operational risk activities such as transaction monitoring alert review, unauthorized disputes, and collections. You will leverage your analytical skills and experience with underwriting and case management tools to assess risk effectively and optimize workflows. Your role is essential in protecting the financial interests of the organization. Responsibilities
- Credit Risk & Underwriting:
- Analyze credit applications to assess creditworthiness and identify potential risks using data-driven insights.
- Conduct in-depth reviews of KYC/KYB to validate identities and detect fraud.
- Conduct customer outreach and follow-up when enhanced due diligence is required.
- Operational Risk & Fraud Management:
- Monitor and investigate alerts from transaction monitoring systems for potential fraud and AML concerns.
- Manage the dispute lifecycle, including reviewing chargebacks, gathering supporting documentation, and responding to inquiries.
- Oversee collections efforts for delinquent accounts, including outreach and coordination with third-party agencies.
- Tool & Data Configuration
- Utilize underwriting and case management tools (e.g., Alloy, Sardine, Taktile) to analyze, build, and optimize decisioning workflows.
- Modify and implement rules or triggers in case management systems to improve the efficiency of alerts and investigations.
- Miscellaneous
- Adhere to all relevant compliance regulations and guidelines, including fair debt collection practices, privacy laws, and industry-specific standards.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
Required Speciality Skills:
- 2+ years of Commercial Lending experience (ability to analyze customer, application and financial data)
- 2+ years of experience in fraud prevention or operational risk within financial services, payments, or fintech.
- Hands-on experience in using fintech underwriting and/or case management tools (e.g. Alloy, Sardine, Taktile, etc.)
- Knowledge of KYC/KYB processes, AML regulations, and dispute resolution procedures.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience using Excel, SQL, or BI tools for data analysis.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem Solving Skills that include operating independently and exhibiting a sense of urgency when necessary.
- The desire to take initiative and actively contribute to the team and the company
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field;
Bonus Points
- Advanced research and analytical skills such as an ability to assess and analyze large amounts of data with a high attention to detail, identify patterns, trends, & pitfalls, and create reports on critical information.
- Consumer Lending experience
- Unauthorized Disputes Experience
- Familiarity with collections and chargeback processes
- ACAMS, Data/Business Analytics Certification
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $85K-$100K (depending on experience).
