Engineering Team Lead - Network Platform

About The Team

Connecting exchanges, OTC desks, custodians, and wallets, the Fireblocks Network settles trillions in crypto trading volume, and delivers a seamless trading experience by reducing friction, unlocking capital efficiency and mitigating counterparty risk.

The Network Platform team is responsible for developing and maintaining robust and scalable infrastructure components used by Network applications across Fireblocks.

As a Network platform team leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the infrastructure of Fireblocks network with defining architecture, patterns and processes.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and Mentor: Manage a team of talented engineers, set technical direction, and provide hands-on mentorship to drive professional growth and high-quality delivery.
• High-Impact Ownership: Take full ownership of Fireblocks’ core Network systems, leading a high-impact domain with real influence on architecture, scalability, and long-term technical direction.
• Infrastructure Development: Lead the development of foundational components and building blocks that support scale, performance, and a wide variety of Network use cases.
• Platform Orientation: Understand a broad range of platform requirements and work closely with multiple product teams to define and execute the team’s roadmap.
• Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with cross-functional teams, and lead workshops and technical sessions to share knowledge, insights, and best practices across the organization.
• Production Mindset: Own the availability, reliability, and operational excellence of Network platform components, ensuring the highest level of stability in production.

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of management experience leading engineering teams, preferably on high-scale products.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in backend or full-stack development.
• BSc in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Deep expertise in designing distributed systems for scale, performance, and resiliency.
• Ability to define technical direction, lead complex roadmaps, and grow senior engineers.
• Experience working with external providers, including customer-facing collaboration and cross-functional teamwork.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and/or C++ is a strong advantage.
