The Role:

Can you ship fast, elegant websites that move the needle on pipeline and brand? As Senior Web Engineer, you will lead our marketing web presence end-to-end - from code and CMS to analytics and integration. You’ll work closely with marketing stakeholders to implement high-performing, conversion-optimized web experiences, balancing quality, speed, and scale.

This role blends hands-on development with technical leadership, ensuring that our stack and vendors are set up for rapid iteration and clean delivery. You’ll integrate web workflows with our broader GTM systems - including HubSpot, analytics, and experimentation tools - and guide external developers and agencies to deliver excellence.

As one of the initial marketing team, you’ll get to make your mark in defining the overall marketing strategy and motion in a highly dynamic market. This role is initially an individual contributor role, with scope to lead teams as we grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Create. Work across the marketing team to plan remarkable web experiences that represent the Fireworks brand and stand out 
  • Build. Develop performant, responsive, and accessible front-end code that brings brand and campaigns to life across Fireworks.ai web properties
  • Integrate. Connect the website to the broader marketing tech stack - HubSpot, analytics, AB testing, and product telemetry - ensuring smooth data flow and signal integrity
  • Collaborate. Translate marketing priorities into actionable engineering plans; partner with designers, content creators, and campaign owners to ship quickly and effectively

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of web development experience, with at least 2 years in a marketing or GTM organization
  • Strong command of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS/SCSS, JS/React/Next.js or similar frameworks)
  • Experience working with CMSs (e.g. headless, Contentful, Sanity) and integrating with marketing tools (HubSpot, Segment, Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Track record of launching fast, beautiful, scalable websites on tight timelines
  • Comfortable managing web vendors and ensuring delivery quality
  • Pragmatic mindset - able to trade perfection for speed without sacrificing integrity
  • Demonstrated “builder” mentality: self-motivation, excels at establishing processes, scaling programs, and bringing ideas to life
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication and influencing skills
  • Ability frequently travel for on-site event coordination
  • Exceptional attention to detail, commitment to excellence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to bridge marketing and engineering goals
  • Experience shipping web experiences optimized for growth, lead capture, and product education 
  • Familiarity with analytics, event tagging, and conversion measurement
  • Appreciation for brand design systems and digital storytelling
  • Excellence in communication skills across all levels of the business
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions

Total compensation for this role also includes meaningful equity in a fast-growing startup, along with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Base salary is determined by a range of factors including individual qualifications, experience, skills, interview performance, market data, and work location. The listed salary range is intended as a guideline and may be adjusted.

Base Pay Range (Plus Equity)

$180,000 - $220,000 USD
