General Manager, Investor Relations

ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the General Manager, Investor Relations (IR) will design and lead the investor relations program to support the company’s IPO and life as a listed ASX entity. This role will shape the equity story, build relationships with institutional and retail investors, and ensure transparent, compliant, and effective market communications. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

IPO Preparation

  • Develop the equity story and key investor messaging in partnership with CFO, CEO, and advisors.
  • Coordinate prospectus drafting for market narrative, business model, strategy, and financial outlook.
  • Prepare investor roadshow materials, Q&A scripts, and market briefing documents.
  • Build relationships with sell-side analysts, investment banks, and institutional investors pre-listing.

Investor Relations Program

  • Establish and manage ongoing investor relations calendar (results, trading updates, AGMs, investor days).
  • Coordinate analyst briefings and investor meetings.
  • Prepare ASX announcements, earnings releases, and investor presentations, ensuring compliance with continuous disclosure obligations.
  • Monitor investor sentiment, peer benchmarks, and sector trends, providing insights to the board and leadership.

Communications & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and proxy advisors.
  • Manage relationships with media, governance advisors, and regulators where relevant.
  • Support board and Audit & Risk Committee reporting on investor and market matters.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • 10+ years in investor relations, equity research, corporate finance, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of ASX listing rules, continuous disclosure, and capital markets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financials into clear investor messaging.
  • Established relationships with institutional investors and/or analysts.

Desirable

  • IPO execution experience, preferably in technology, infrastructure, or high-growth sectors.
  • Background in investment banking, equity research, or listed-company IR.
  • Media and communications experience.

 

SUCCESS METRICS (FIRST 12 MONTHS)

  • IPO roadshow executed successfully with strong investor engagement.
  • Equity story understood and supported by investors and analysts.
  • Smooth transition to listed-company disclosure and reporting calendar.
  • Investor confidence built through transparent and consistent communication.
