Role Summary

The Finance Systems & Automation Lead will be responsible for optimising the company’s finance technology ecosystem, ensuring the organisation fully leverages modern finance platforms to support a rapidly scaling business. The role focuses on improving automation, strengthening integrations between systems, and ensuring the finance team operates on efficient, scalable platforms. 

 This is primarily a systems and technology role within finance, requiring strong experience in finance systems architecture, integrations, and process automation rather than traditional accounting expertise. 

 The role will act as the owner of the company’s core ERP platform and the broader finance systems environment, ensuring systems are configured, integrated, and optimised to support the company’s growth. 

 

Key Responsibilities

ERP Platform Optimisation   

• Own the ongoing optimisation and administration of the company’s core ERP platform, Oracle NetSuite, ensuring the business continues to maximise value from the system as it scales. 

• Improve workflows, automation, reporting capability, and system configuration. 

• Partner with finance users to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements across finance processes. 

  

Finance Systems Ecosystem 

• Manage the broader finance systems landscape connected to our ERP platform, which may include:  

• FP&A platforms  

• Procurement and expense tools  

• Billing platforms (AP and AR)  

• Cost project management tools  

• Treasury systems  

• Data and reporting tools  

• Ensure systems operate as an integrated ecosystem rather than isolated tools.  

  

Systems Integration   

• Design and manage integrations between our ERP platform and other business systems.  

• Work closely with engineering and data teams to build reliable automated data flows.  

• Ensure data integrity across platforms.  

 

Finance Process Automation   

• Identify opportunities to automate finance processes across, such as procure-to-pay , record-to-report , capex and asset tracking and etc
• Automate reporting and consolidations  

• Reduce manual processes and spreadsheet reliance.  

 

Reporting & Data Infrastructure   

• Improve the quality and availability of financial data across the organisation.  

• Enable automated reporting for:  management reporting, board reporting , investor reporting  and ect

• Work with data teams to ensure finance data feeds into company-wide analytics platforms.  

  

Finance Technology Roadmap   

• Maintain a roadmap for finance technology improvements.  

• Evaluate and implement additional best-of-breed tools where needed.  

• Ensure systems support future scale and IPO readiness.  

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration   

• Work closely with Finance, IT/Security, and Engineering/Data teams to ensure finance systems integrate with the broader company infrastructure. 

• Act as the bridge between finance users and technical teams when designing system solutions. 

 

Skills & Experience

• 7–12+ years experience in finance systems, finance technology, or finance transformation roles  
• Proven experience owning and scaling Oracle NetSuite as a core ERP platform, including configuration, workflow automation, integrations, and supporting finance operations in a growing organisation 
• Experience working with multiple finance platforms connected to an ERP  
• Strong experience with:  
  • ERP configuration and workflows  
  • systems integrations and APIs  
  • automation tools  
  • finance data models 
  • reporting platforms
