Training Manager
The Training and Development Manager oversees training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of First National employees. This includes consulting and advising with internal stakeholders and assessing learning needs of the departments. The role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for fostering employee growth and ensuring that training initiatives align with organizational goals. The Training and Development Manager is responsible for the supervision of the curriculum, trainers, and department relations. In addition, they provide instructional coaching, support, development, needs-based training and guidance for best-practices, compliance support, and quality assurance for their team.
- Design, implement and evaluate training programs
- Lead, coach and develop a high performing training team
- Coordinate and structure onboarding and appropriate learning paths for new hires
- Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to structure training content
- Designs, develops and implements employee career pathing framework
- Oversees the design, development and execution of leadership development initiatives
- Conducts learning needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and business performance
- Consults and advises with management
- Develops and establishes measurable metrics for training programs, designing and conducting assessments to determine if training outcomes align with these standards, and reporting the effectiveness of programs in meeting organizational objectives
Qualifications:
- Instructional design experience
- Organized, engagement with team
- Strong understanding of learning methodologies, adult learning principles, and instructional design concepts
- Preferred: Experience leading a corporate learning and development program or department.
- 3+ years of experience in adult learning, including content and program development, people management, and training in a business environment.
- Ability and willingness to commute to FNBA’s headquarters in East Lansing, MI to work onsite daily, Monday through Friday
