HMDA CRA Supervisor
First National Bank of America is seeking a HMDA CRA Supervisor to join the Risk Management team. This role reports directly to the BSA/CRA Officer and will be an integral part of the FNBA Risk Management team. The position requires an individual with a talent of understanding the “why” and “how”. This is a critical part of the role – being motivated by learning and improving a process. To FNBA, this is far more important than the technical knowledge of the job, which can be learned. Furthermore, the individual should have a strong desire to lead people and to accomplish objectives through a team. FNBA works like a start-up, and we want to keep it that way.
Banks are required to report a large number of loan data points on an annual basis. The individual must have a talent for understanding and being curious about the details, and yet can think strategically about keeping the team efficient. The talent of analyzing data and drawing conclusions from it is key.
The second strategic goal the HMDA CRA Supervisor should expect to undertake is completing a modernization of the HMDA System Platform. Additionally, this role must provide continuous management of said platform and regularly evaluate ways to recommend improvements for consistent efficiency.
The third goal is serving as a key stakeholder in FNBA’s CRA activities to meet enterprise goals. The HMDA/CRA Supervisor position will play an active role in tabulating CRA qualifying loans and investments as well as the coordination of CRA service activities. This will include a high level of interaction with external parties.
