
Property Tax Supervisor
First National Bank of America is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Property Tax Supervisor to join the Escrow Team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a people-focused leader who excels at coaching team members, resolving complex issues, improving processes, and supporting a high-quality customer experience through accurate and reliable loan servicing.
The Property Tax Supervisor will lead a dedicated team responsible for researching, validating, and ensuring timely property tax payments across a growing nationwide mortgage loan portfolio. This position will also collaborate closely with taxing authorities, internal business partners, vendors, and the Escrow Department to ensure accounts are serviced with accuracy, care, regulatory compliance, and a strong commitment to operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, support, and encourage a team responsible for property tax servicing activities
- Help team members research and resolve complex account questions using loan notes, mortgages, contracts, and system documentation
- Ensure escrowed property taxes are paid accurately and on time
- Review delinquent tax notifications and coordinate timely action for non-escrowed properties
- Oversee tax research and activity for more than 34,000 properties nationwide
- Prepare clear, professional customer communications and compliance-related letters
- Maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines, bank policies, procedures, and the terms of loan documents
- Partner with internal teams to improve processes, strengthen efficiency, and enhance the servicing experience
- Participate in system or programming enhancements that support the team’s success
Qualifications:
- A dependable, approachable leader who enjoys helping others succeed
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build respectful, effective working relationships
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, follow-through, and accountability
- Experience managing direct reports, supplemental staffing, or team workflows
- Ability to adapt quickly, prioritize competing responsibilities, and meet deadlines on substantial long-term projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint documents
- A positive, solutions-oriented approach to process improvement and change
- Experience working with tax authorities, municipalities, and escrow analysis, or Lereta is preferred
- Bilingual communication skills in Spanish or Portuguese are a plus but not required
