Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families? FirstSteps is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to play a vital role in our operations and financial wellbeing.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop expertise in autism treatment funding, navigating payor obligations, and maximizing patient care via various funding avenues.
  • Manage the complex claims processing and collections processes from health insurance, Medi-Cal, regional centers, school districts, and caregivers.
  • Utilize strong analytic, communication and negotiation skills to interact with caregivers, staff, and payors daily.
  • Effectively manage our accounts receivable balances by navigating electronic medical, educational, and billing networks fluently.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail, reconciling accounts paid by multiple sources to ensure compliance to contract terms and billing integrity rules.
  • Collaborate closely with Revenue Cycle Department colleagues and other teams to ensure accurate billing and payment, avoiding disruptions to services.

What We're Looking For:

  • Fluency in using electronic medical and billing records through various payor portals.
  • High school diploma, at minimum.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
  • A professional and collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to thrive as a remote worker.
  • Proficiency in FirstSteps MS 365 and Lumary platforms preferred.

Compensation:

  • The hourly range for compensation is $22-25, based on qualifying experience.
