Sr. Creative Producer

New York, NY

Senior Creative Producer

First We Feast—the studio behind Hot Ones, Slice Joint, Hot Ones Game Night and more—is seeking a Senior Creative Producer to oversee Hot Ones Versus, one of our marquee programs. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall production of the series, including creative and physical production, direction on set, managing budgets, helping with branded deals, and partnering with other editorial producers and our broader team to create synergy between our shows.

Versus extends Hot Ones beyond a one-on-one interview, combining the deeply-researched questions we’re known for with a hostless format that allows talent to play off of each other. Your job is to guide production through all stages from collaborating with our talent bookers to running efficient shoots to overseeing edits and show launches.

What makes you an ideal candidate: you’ve worked for a digital media company and understand how authentic, original content breaks through in a fractured media landscape. You also have experience working with A-list celebrities and combine clear direction on set with respect, collaboration, and humor in everything you do.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with our Talent team on bookings, with a focus on dynamic pairings that shine through game play and personal interaction
  • Turn research packets into Runs of Show
  • Confirm shoots with PM teams and oversee rehearsals, any required rentals, prelights, etc.
  • Greet/prep talent and direct episodes, maintaining energy, pacing, and pivoting when needed
  • Oversee edits, make cutdowns, and collaborate on social cuts
  • Work with Sales on sponsorship opportunities and be responsible for all deliverables for sponsorships that are sold
  • Send episodes for Legal/PR and other approvals and QA launches
  • Work with internal content strategists/analysts to dig into insights that help the show reach a broad, engaged audience - with an eye towards growth and metric goals
  • Work collaboratively with the editorial team and attend regularly scheduled meetings, including check-ins with FWF leadership

What You Bring

  • 5 years+ experience directing celebrity talent: They’re not only asking each other fun questions, they’re facing the Wings of Death! As their pilot on set, you know how to read the room and interject with timely follow-ups.
  • A cool demeanor working in a fast-paced environment. With tight turnarounds, you remain composed, collected, and organized.
  • Strong command of YouTube formats and digital trends that inform your creative approach.
  • A fluency in pop-culture & key cultural touchstones. You have a broad understanding of the talent landscape across film, TV, music, Internet. You track trends, but also anticipate what’s on the horizon.
  • Diligent cross-functional communication skills & time management. You know how to delegate and seek efficiencies.
  • Leadership capabilities with a team-oriented spirit. You understand the power of collaboration to bring about the best product.
  • Enthusiasm for crafting a run-of-show. Your questions combine humor, wit, and deep research that surprise and delight our guests.
  • Experience working with branded campaigns. You understand the pipeline from editorial to branded content, and are comfortable fielding/crafting pitches for our sales team.

We believe that candidates are more than a resume; that’s why we ask the questions below. We want to hear about your directly applicable experience and in many cases, these questions give us more insight than what’s on your resume. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Select applicants can expect a phone screen, 1-2 team interviews (either over video or in-person depending on schedules) and a final project/panel interview.

This is a hybrid position based in our Midtown NYC office/studio. We work together in person Tuesday through Thursday, with the flexibility of working remotely or in-office on other days.

This is a full-time, exempt position and the estimated salary for candidates in the NYC metro area is between $90,000 - $120,000 plus an annual bonus program. Actual compensation will be determined by the final candidate's, experience, skillset, and business needs.
