
Innovation Product Manager

Job Summary
We are hiring an Innovation Product Manager to lead discovery, ideation, and development of new digital products and services in the retirement space and beyond. This role will focus on identifying unmet needs among owners and affluent employees of small and medium-sized businesses, researching market trends, evaluating new technologies, and designing forward-thinking solutions.
You will help shape the future of our firm by bringing structure to innovation—working cross-functionally to test new ideas, pilot solutions, and prepare successful concepts for broader rollout. You will collaborate with marketing, sales, operations, and client service to deliver practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Research emerging trends, client needs and competitor innovations in the retirement, wealth, and benefits space.
- Identify gaps and opportunities to serve our customer base with user-centered digital solutions
- Generate, validate, and prioritize new product ideas aligned with our growth strategy.
- As the voice of the customer, lead full product development work across discovery, strategy, execution, and product launch
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to gather requirements, define user stories, and prioritize the product backlog to ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Engage daily with engineering and design teams to set strategy, clarify requirements, provide feedback, and ensure that product increments are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Organize and participate in user research sessions and usability testing to gather insights and validate product features, iterating based on feedback.
- Lead and participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective team collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to design, prototype, and test early-stage solutions.
- Lead small-scale pilots to assess product-market fit, feasibility, and ROI.
- Work with leadership on long-term product roadmap.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in product management, strategy, or innovation roles leading digital, B2C initiatives.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with ambiguity.
- Knowledge of commonly used product management frameworks.
- Familiarity or willingness to lead AI-first initiatives from concept through deployment
- Leverage AI tools to prototype and validate product concepts and workflows
- Strong ability to work with vendors and internal teams, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders for successful project delivery.
- Comfortable presenting product strategy and impact to stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and written communication skills.
- Strong foundation in customer research, prototyping, and early-stage product development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to assess product-market fit and ROI.
- Job level will be set based on the candidate’s strength and experience
