JOB SUMMARY:
The Investment Content Writer and Strategist is responsible for creating clear, engaging, and educational investment and retirement- focused content that supports small business owners, their employees, and internal partners. This role blends strong investment knowledge with strategic storytelling to simplify complex concepts for non- technical audiences, strengthen our client communications, and support Fisher\SMB's leadership in the small- plan retirement space.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies and asset c lasses, with the ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, engaging, and accessible content. This candidate should be equally comfortable creating content, creating a content calendar, partnering with internal stakeholders, and effectively communicating our viewpoints across all investment- related communications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Content Development
- Develop a process to effectively aggregate both internal and external investment related
- Attend internal and external investment related meetings and summarize key investment/portfolio insights and
- Create written content in various formats covering key topics such as global events, capital markets, portfolio themes, investment insights, and education content on financial topics.
- Write internal weekly briefings summarizing important economic, geopolitical, and capital markets events for internal teams.
- Write monthly, quarterly, and annual market updates and outlook summarizing key market themes and integrating effectively our viewpoints for external
- Create in- depth reports and white papers that analyze market trends, economic conditions, and investment
- Develop content that supports both client and advisor education helping plan sponsors understand their investment lineup, fiduciary responsibilities, and plan design options.
- Identify content opportunities that improve client clarity, reduce confusion, support advisor efficiency, and strengthen our brand
- Collaborate with Client Experience team to create and actively manage an Investment Client Advisory Board to gain feedback from actual clients on our investment portfolio strategies.
- Craft presentations or speeches for senior
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, client service, investments and senior leadership, to gather insights and data for content, and translate common client questions into helpful educational materials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, journalism, communications, or related
- Financial certifications for CFA, CAIA or CFP certifications are a
- Proven experience writing about financial markets, investments, or related
- Familiarity with financial products (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, EfFs, etc.)
- Experience in creating content for an investment advisory firm, asset management company, or financial services firm is highly
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a focus on clarity and
- Strong understanding of financial markets, investments strategies, and macroeconomic
- Ability to explain complex financial concepts in a way that is understandable to a broad
- Detail- oriented, organized, and able to meet
- Familiarity with compliance review processes for regulated financial
