
Cybersecurity Automation Specialist

Overview
The Cybersecurity Automation Specialist independently builds and manages automated solutions, integrates security tools, and enhances operational security efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build moderate‑complexity automation workflows for vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance reporting.
- Integrate SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and scanning tools to improve data flow and reduce manual workload.
- Conduct assessments to identify automation opportunities across security operations.
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams to ensure seamless automation pipelines.
- Develop troubleshooting guides, workflow diagrams, and process documentation.
- Participate in design and code reviews, offering improvements and best‑practice recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
- Experience with industry‑standard security products (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners).
- Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, Ansible) or CI/CD pipelines.

Compensation
- $90K - $120K per year DOE
