Does this sound like you?
You’re an analytically minded problem solver with experience in data analytics, investment banking, consulting, Big 4, or start-ups. Confident in SQL, you know how to extract and transform data efficiently to generate clear, actionable insights. You bring a commercial lens to complex financial data, are highly organised, and thrive in fast-paced environments. You’re equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team, with a hands-on, proactive approach. Curious and driven, you’re always looking for ways to improve processes and influence business performance through data. Experience with tools like BigQuery, Tableau, or PowerBI is a plus.
What you’ll do:
- Extracting, capturing and analysing data that is needed by the immediate team and the wider company to build and evaluate business cases.
- Assist FP&A team in connecting operational metrics with financial outcomes. Track key KPIs and deliver regular reports on key financial metrics to FP&A team.
- Help FP&A team to optimize and automate Finance processes, ensuring the function is scalable for future growth.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in data-presentation and analysis.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to assess new opportunities and guide decision-making.
- Support and drive the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring timely submission and quality output.
What you’ll bring:
- Background in Data Analytics or prior experience in: Investment banking, consulting, big 4 transaction services or start-ups
- Strong coding skills, in particular SQL, and ability to extract / transform data efficiently.
- Commercially minded with analytical skills; able to interpret complex financial data.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with both autonomous work and team collaboration, with a hands-on approach when needed.
Desirable:
- Proficiency in identifying and resolving data quality issues, with a structured escalation plan.
- Experience working in commercial environment where data provided by the candidate was used to drive business performance.
- Demonstrated drive, curiosity, motivation through work or extra-curricular activities.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g. SQL, BigQuery, PowerBI, Tableau)
