The Harry's working model is in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Our beautiful
70,000 square foot SoHo office is decked out with bagels on Wednesdays and lunch on Tuesdays & Thursdays, and fully stocked kitchens with snacks, coffee, and drinks everyday. Can’t forget the free products and the opportunity to have some meetings without Zoom!

 

About the Team:

The Harry’s Grocery, Speciality & New Business Development team is dedicated to building out our Harry’s & Flamingo portfolio across the US & CA, always keeping the customer and consumer at the core of everything we do. 

We are a highly strategic function, working closely with our customer counterparts to provide thought leadership in a highly competitive space, setting Harry’s & Flamingo apart to drive category growth. We work closely with cross functional partners including customer Supply Chain, Category & Sales analytics, Demand Planning, Sales Finance, Brand and many more to drive our business forward



About the Role:

The Sales Associate will play a critically important role in cultivating meaningful relationships, both internal and external, to support the Grocery business.  This customer-facing position will be responsible for developing and managing Grocery retailer partnerships. For this role, we need a strong customer development leader who understands customer needs and requirements, while translating and executing the Harry’s & Flamingo vision in retail.  As this role works across almost all Harry’s & Flamingo functions, we need a team player who can collaborate across functions, develop strategies, and effectively communicate across teams to enable partner functions to meet and exceed customer expectations. This role also requires strong organizational skills, analytical capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset. 

 

Your core responsibilities

  • Lead customer development activity managing the Harry’s & Flamingo business in multiple categories across Regional Grocery Accounts
  • Identify, lead, and support retailer development opportunities
  • Develop sales presentations for your businesses, including line reviews, joint business planning,  and merchandising negotiations
  • Build best-in-class relationships with your retail partners – merchandising, marketing, in-store design, and supply chain  – to drive optimized outcomes for Harry’s & Flamingo
  • Manage customer development, sales analytics, and forecasting needs, as well as project management and strategic execution at retail.  
  • Ensure operational excellence across all merchandising and marketing elements of Harry’s & Flamingo at retail, including, but not limited to, omnichannel experiences, forecast accuracy, marketing activations, and demand planning.  
  • Manage the Harry’s & Flamingo P&L for your customers, including drive top and bottom line growth through operating and trade fund efficiencies. 

 

These might describe you

  • You have 2-3 years of industry-specific experience in CPG sales, marketing, and/or sales/category analytics, including previous experience working directly with Regional Grocery retailers (C&S customers a bonus). 
  • Highly analytical with syndicated data experience required  (Nielsen, Circana, Spins, etc…) at least one year in sales or category analytics supporting a retailer
  • Eager to learn and develop in a sales or customer facing role. Has a strong sense of ownership and is able to self serve when needed to drive the business forward
  • Professional, enthusiast, a solid team player, and possesses a drive for results.
  • A leader with a demonstrated track record for exhibiting an entrepreneurial spirit, strong sales fundamental capabilities, and success in delivering top and bottom-line results in a business development capacity. This should include P&L management, forecasting and operations, and the creation of in-store sales programs.  
  • Customers at the core: a passion for driving great customer and retail partner experience, ability to think outside in from the start.
  • Partner first, someone who is a natural collaborator, brings people in, listens, and helps facilitate the best answer.  You are always thinking about how to help the teammates around you excel.

Who you will work with

  • Internally: Your primary connections will be with Retail Sales,  Analytics, Customer Supply Chain, Brand, Sales Finance, and Demand Planning
  • Externally: You will own the customer relationship and be the go to contact to drive the business and overall partnership
  • Reporting into Eric Sauerzopf, Director of Grocery

That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes a comprehensive set of benefits and our equity program. The base salary hiring range for this position is $75,000-$92,500, but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate’s location, skill level and experience.
