Who you are

As a Strategic Enterprise Account Manager, you will manage a select portfolio of Fleetio’s top ~20 accounts, building deep, embedded, long-term partnerships that create outsized strategic impact. You’ll develop trusted executive-level relationships, travel frequently to meet customers on-site, and act as a primary advisor to align their business outcomes with Fleetio’s long-term vision. This role may also include leading a small team of Enterprise Account Managers, helping scale our ability to serve and grow strategic accounts.

This person may work from Fleetio's HQ in downtown Birmingham, AL, or remotely within the United States.

Your impact

  • Own and grow relationships with Fleetio’s top strategic enterprise customers, building multi-year partnerships based on trust, value, and innovation.
  • Engage directly with senior executives and key decision makers to align business goals and ensure Fleetio is viewed as a mission-critical partner.
  • Drive strategic account growth through expansion opportunities, complex negotiations, and executive-level advocacy.
  • Leverage Fleetio’s leadership team—including the C-Suite—to co-create strategic roadmaps and unlock high-value opportunities.
  • Travel frequently to customer sites, embedding yourself in their operations to better understand their evolving needs and opportunities.
  • Achieve and exceed Net Revenue Retention (NRR) and Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) targets by orchestrating renewals, expansions, and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Guide and mentor a small team of Enterprise Account Managers (2 direct reports), ensuring consistent execution and alignment on best practices.
  • Partner with Customer Success and Product teams to ensure deep product adoption, high-value utilization, and sustained satisfaction.
  • Act as an industry thought leader for our strategic accounts, bringing insights, trends, and Fleetio’s perspective to the executive table.

Your experience

  • 7+ years of Enterprise Account Management, Strategic Account Management, or Enterprise Sales experience with a proven record of success in high-stakes, quota-carrying roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain multi-year strategic relationships with Fortune 1000 or equivalent enterprise customers.
  • Experience engaging and influencing C-Suite executives, aligning enterprise strategy, and navigating complex decision-making processes.
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to lead high-level negotiations and strategic conversations.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel (up to 50%) to customer sites to build embedded relationships.
  • Experience managing or mentoring a small team of account managers is preferred.
  • Highly disciplined with time management and prioritization, thriving in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
  • Track record of delivering growth through renewals, expansions, and strategic upsells with enterprise accounts.
  • Excited by technology, data-driven decision making, and bringing innovative solutions to customers.
  • Previous experience in the fleet industry, knowledge of fleet management, maintenance, or logistics, is a major advantage.
