As an Apprentice Technician, you will work alongside experienced technicians while developing the technical skills needed to become a professional automotive service technician. Through hands-on training, manufacturer education, and mentorship, you will learn dealership repair processes, proper diagnostic procedures, and the standards required to deliver a world-class guest experience. What You Will Do

  • Assist experienced technicians with vehicle inspections, maintenance services, diagnostics, and repairs while learning dealership repair procedures and manufacturer standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacement, multi-point inspections, and other basic services as your skills and certifications progress.
  • Learn to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle concerns using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and approved repair procedures.
  • Complete assigned repairs accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards for workmanship, safety, and quality.
  • Maintain accurate repair orders, document findings, and communicate repair progress to team leaders and advisors as required.
  • Properly use, maintain, and care for dealership tools, equipment, diagnostic devices, and shop facilities.
  • Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe while following all OSHA, environmental, dealership, and manufacturer safety requirements.
  • Participate in manufacturer training programs, dealership learning opportunities, and ongoing professional development to continuously expand your technical knowledge and certifications.
  • Collaborate with technicians, shop foremen, parts personnel, and service advisors to support efficient shop operations and an exceptional guest experience.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement while progressing toward becoming a fully qualified technician

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required; completion of or enrollment in an automotive technical training program is preferred.
  • Previous automotive maintenance, mechanical, or vocational experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and genuine interest in automotive technology.
  • Willingness to learn manufacturer repair procedures, dealership processes, and emerging vehicle technologies.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, established repair procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to performing quality work.
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

 

Pay: $25 - $28 / hour
