About the role

Flex is looking for a seasoned IT Manager to create a frictionless technology experience for fellow Flexers who are remote and/or in-office.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure and processes. You will oversee the execution of multiple high-impact IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with our business goals and maintaining the highest standards of performance and security. This role requires strong collaboration and strategic partnership with leaders across multiple departments, making you instrumental in driving our company's technology strategy forward. You’ll mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement, while balancing in-office and remote needs effectively.

This in-office role (4x/week) requires a minimum of 8 years of IT experience.

What you’ll do

  • Oversee and manage multiple concurrent IT projects, ensuring timely execution, high quality, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies that support the organization’s operational and strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to identify and address technology needs, optimizing solutions for efficiency.
  • Lead small, cross-domain project teams by providing clear direction, defining deliverables, and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Optimize and maintain IT standards, processes, and tools to enhance performance, security and compliance.
  • Mentor and develop IT team members, fostering skill development and professional growth.
  • Manage a mix of in-office and remote IT needs, ensuring robust infrastructure and seamless communication.
  • Manage and troubleshoot all office A/V equipment, specifically DTEN Zoom Rooms
  • Act as the primary point of contact for advanced troubleshooting and escalations, resolving issues efficiently.
  • Lead efforts in establishing new office space in New York if required 
  • Partnering with the Talent Acquisition and People Operations teams to plan for future hiring and onboarding needs and organizational changes
  • Continuously evaluate, improve and automate IT processes to enhance efficiency, reduce manual toil and minimize costs.

Key qualifications

  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, preferably with fintech experience.
  • Strategic thinker with strong organizational leadership skills, able to drive the long-term vision while handling day-to-day operations.
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, network architecture, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable dealing with senior leadership requests from the CEO, COO, CTO, CPO and other executives.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Proficient in using and managing a variety of tools, including but not limited to:
    • Ticketing Systems: JIRA, Jira Service Manager
    • Provisioning Tools: Apple Business Management
    • MDM Tools: JAMF, Kaseya
    • Collaboration Tools: Slack, Jira, Notion, Google Workspace
    • Automation Tools: Zapier
    • Network Management: UniFi Console, WiFi Man
    • Monitoring & Management Tools: PagerDuty, Datadog
    • Risk Management & Compliance: Vanta
  • A strong passion for technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
The salary compensation range for this role will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
  • For working locations in NY/NJ/CA, the base salary pay range will be $121,000-$125,000
