Lead Product Manager, Partner Integrations

New York, New York, United States

Flex is a growth-stage, NYC headquartered FinTech company that is creating the best rent payment experience. It’s hard to believe that it’s 2025 and paying rent on time is expensive, inflexible, and difficult. We’re here to change that! Flex enables our users to pay rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances and budget. Our mission is to empower as many renters as possible with flexibility over their most significant recurring expense. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we are looking for motivated individuals to help us keep our mission growing. Will you be a part of the team?

About the Role

Flex has built a large, rapidly growing business that provides consumers with financial flexibility to manage their largest expenses, starting with rent.  Central to this experience is our robust and growing set of partner integrations, which help consumers pay their bills on time. As we enter our next phase of growth, we are planning to expand offering credit and payment flexibility across multiple bill categories. This expansion requires significant investment in building a more generalized platform outside of the initial rental space.

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution for our expansion efforts, turning our current integration suite into a powerful, scalable Integration Platform. This is a high-impact position offering the chance to shape the foundational technology that will drive Flex's transformation from a single-product solution to a broad financial services platform. You will be a core driver of our next wave of growth.

What You'll Do:

  • Platform Generalization: Drive the evolution of our current payment integrations into a broad, self-service API and platform capable of supporting diverse billers and payment types, potentially beyond rent.
  • Ecosystem Expansion: Identify, prioritize, and enable new forms of integration with partners, opening up new opportunities for Flex.
  • Developer Experience: Explore and potentially stand up a developer-focused portal/platform to drastically reduce the friction and time required for new partners to integrate with Flex.
  • Integration Excellence: Uplevel the quality, reliability, and coverage of existing integrations while continuously driving down the time-to-integrate with new partners.
  • Business Impact: Own core business metrics around the growth of our partner network and the speed and efficiency of new partner onboarding, directly contributing to Flex's overall market expansion.

Who You are:

  • You bring 5+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record in building technical, API-driven, or platform-based products.
  • You are deeply technical, comfortable discussing system architecture and API design with engineers, and can translate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • You excel at platform strategy, with the ability to define a compelling vision for a multi-sided ecosystem and articulate a clear, actionable roadmap to achieve it.
  • You have direct experience working with external partners to build and launch integrations, understanding the nuances of B2B relationships and ecosystem development.
  • You are passionate about creating best-in-class developer experiences (DevEx) and have ideally worked on developer portals, SDKs, or self-service integration platforms.
  • You are highly analytical and data-fluent, adept at defining success metrics for platform adoption and partner onboarding, and using insights to guide your product decisions.
  • You possess a strong bias for action and an owner's mindset, comfortable navigating ambiguity to ship products that deliver measurable business value.
  • You are an exceptional communicator and collaborator, capable of aligning cross-functional teams (Engineering, Sales, Partnerships, Marketing) around a shared vision.

The compensation range for this role will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks. For working locations in NY/NJ/CA, the base salary pay range will be $239,000 - $262,000.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
