Technical Program Manager, Partner Integrations

New York, NY

Flex is a growth-stage, NYC headquartered FinTech company that is building the payment layer for life's financial obligations, giving households one place to see, split, and pay their bills around how they live and get paid. By offering greater choice over how and when payments are made and allowing eligible on time payments to help build a positive credit history, Flex puts households back in control of their cash flow.

That work brings together people with different perspectives who challenge the status quo and take ownership of solving difficult problems. For you, that means doing the best work of your career next to people who make you better, and together bringing ideas to life that make a real impact for the people we serve.

About the role:

Flex is hiring a Technical Program Manager to lead partner integration programs from scoping through launch and ongoing performance. Own delivery across Engineering, Business Development, and external partners, ensuring intgrations launch on time and remain reliable afterward. This is a high impact position offering the chance to shape the foundational technology that will drive Flex’s transformation from a single-product solution to a broad financial services platform.

What you’ll do

Run launches end to end

  • Launch management: Own the launch plan: timeline, milestone tracker, technical and GTM project management, and escalations when dates slip.
  • Experience: Document UI/UX in Figma (placement, partner-surface screens, Embed onboarding) and verify the experience launches correctly and stays correct.
  • Technical design: Drive technical design decisions and troubleshooting during the build, alongside the Engineering Lead who owns the build.
  • Pilot partners: Be the day-to-day contact for pilot partners and keep them responsive.

Operate live integrations

  • Partner syncs: Run recurring technical syncs with partners, including agenda and follow-ups.
  • Incidents: Together with the Technical Account team, own incident escalation and partner communications during issues.
  • Monitoring: Review partner performance data monthly and work with Analytics to resolve tracking issues.
  • Partner asks: Respond to partners for product functionality and improvements.
  • Cross-team fixes: Make sure other Flex teams fix and test bugs that affect Integrated partners.

Improve the platform

  • Platform generalization: Partner with Product and Engineering to evolve our current integrations into a broader, reusable API and platform that supports diverse billers and payment types, including rent.
  • Integration excellence: Turn recurring partner issues into reusable process (templates, checklists, runbooks, tooling) that makes each integration faster to launch and cheaper to maintain.

Key qualifications

Required

  • Experience: 5+ years in technical program management, technical product, solutions or integration engineering, or a similar role running cross-functional technical launches.
  • Integrations: Hands-on experience with third-party integrations and APIs (REST, webhooks, authentication, SDKs, sandbox and production environments), and comfort reading API docs and technical specs.
  • Program management: A track record of taking multi-team projects from kickoff to launch, with milestone tracking, risk management, and escalation.
  • Communication: High attention to detail, with precise and effective communication with external partners and senior stakeholders, including during incidents.
  • Influence: Comfort being accountable for outcomes you do not directly control. You will work across BD, Engineering, and partners without managing them.
  • Low ego: As a rapidly growing startup, everyone is a doer. You will lead through influence with no direct reports, and dive into the details yourself.
  • Pace: Desire for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Strongly preferred

  • Fintech and payments: Experience with money movement (flow of funds, ledgering, reconciliation, banking-partner constraints).
  • Proptech: Experience with property management software and its ecosystem (for example Yardi, Entrata, RealPage, MRI, AppFolio).
  • Incident management: Experience running incident communications and post-incident follow-through.

Nice to have

  • Partner programs: Experience running a partner program or developer relations function, or owning a partner API or self-serve integration surface.
  • Design collaboration: Experience working with design on partner-facing UI, and fluency in Figma.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
