UX Designer II

The UX Designer II role will help Flexe build easy-to-use software for businesses that ship and store inventory across the U.S. and their warehouse partners. They will provide concepts and designs that will challenge the preconceptions of the logistics industry, constantly working on the technological edge in a space filled with opportunity for User Experience innovation. As a UX Designer II they will also contribute to the standards and principles that serve as the foundation for all Flexe products and shape its design culture. This job reports to the Manager of Product Management.

Job Responsibilities

[50%] Core Responsibility #1

  • Simplify and distill complex, multi-device workflows into intuitive product experiences.
  • Collaborate and communicate with product, engineering and stakeholders throughout the design process.
  • Create and rapidly iterate on ideas using process flow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs.
  • Design solutions with a strong understanding of the product requirements, business goals, technical constraints and user pain points.

[30%] Core Responsibility #2

  • Conduct usability testing using hi-res prototypes to identify key user pain points.
  • Play a lead role in developing and implementing our design system.
  • Be a contributor in improving our internal design processes.
  • Contribute information architecture across a complex suite of product and user experiences.

[20%] Core Responsibility #3

  • Identify opportunities to think differently about the status quo of user experiences in our space based on research, field studies, foundational insights, best practices and design thinking.
  • Lead discovery, research and planning of new products and features while helping drive the vision for the user experience.
  • Provide assets, specifications, and guidance for implementation of the user interface through the development process.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ Years of Experience
  • Strong background in interaction, visual, user interface, and user experience design.
  • Empathetic and inquisitive, a great listener, and willing giver of direct feedback!
  • Experience leading projects from a user experience perspective.
  • Passionate advocate for the end product user with an eye for overall customer value and business impact.
  • An excellent individual contributor with a passion for design, entrepreneurship and technology.
  • Ability to break down complex concepts and communicate them persuasively to a wide range of stakeholders across the organization.
  • Self-motivated, positive, open minded, with a desire to collaborate and learn.
  • Is proficient at designing, prototyping, and presenting in Figma.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience designing products for desktop and handheld applications.
  • Demonstrates expertise in conducting usability tests, with the capability to coach peers on facilitating activities directly with key customer contacts.
  • Know how to conduct usability tests, including facilitating activities directly with key customer contacts as well as internally with our operations and account management teams.
  • Maintains a strong attention to detail in UI implementation, striving for high standards and quality in design while continuously learning and improving along the way
  • Can work with and contribute to a consistent and functional Design System while advocating for its adoption.
The salary range for this role is $112,500 to $157,900 depending, in part, on candidate location. Recruiting will confirm the specific range for the candidate location in the initial phone screen. All employees receive company equity as part of their compensation package.
