The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer for our Customs & Trade Services team. In this role, you’ll lead the design of tools that enable users to navigate customs, compliance, and ever-changing regulations across global shipments. You’ll drive strategic design decisions, simplify highly complex customs processes, and help shape how technology transforms an industry undergoing significant modernisation. Your work will set a high standard for design quality, support global trade compliance, and influence the direction of products with broad impact for both customers and internal teams.

You Will:

  • Lead design decisions with a systems-thinking mindset, anticipating edge cases and prioritizing robust, high-impact solutions.
  • Leverage AI and emerging technologies to drive efficiency and elevate design outcomes.
  • Collaborate across functions to define and execute the design vision and strategy in a complex, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Translate deep user research into actionable requirements that champion user needs.
  • Mentor and inspire your team, cultivating high UX standards and a culture of shared responsibility for design quality.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to the design system for greater consistency and flexibility in customs products.

You Should Have:

  • 7+ years professional hands-on design experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in shaping design visions, strategies, and standards.
  • Expertise in crafting and evolving scalable interaction patterns and design systems.
  • Strong cross-domain knowledge with the ability to tackle complexity and provide high-level UX guidance across teams.
  • Proven collaborator with a drive for process improvement, inclusion, and continuous growth for yourself and your team.
  • A degree in HCI, UX, Interaction Design, or related fields are preferred.
  • A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.
