As the Manager of Performance Marketing, you will lead and develop a high-performing team, defining the strategic vision and roadmap for your portfolio. You are accountable for driving exceptional media performance and significant business impact across clients, users, Flipp, and media partners. Operating strategically and tactically, you'll empower your team to execute this vision, innovate campaign delivery, and continuously optimize. You'll ensure initiatives deliver results, insights drive action, and platform capabilities are advanced, proactively achieving critical short-term and long-term business goals.
What you'll get the opportunity to do:
Strategic Client Business Consultancy
- Drive strategic performance for core stakeholders, including clients (retailers/brands), users, Flipp, and media partners, by providing expert consultation and direction to cross-functional teams.
- Develop overarching strategic and tactical plans to help our clients achieve their KPIs, clearly demonstrating value to propel Flipp's business growth in close partnership with the Business Development (BD) team.
- Lead initiatives to educate and enable internal Flipp teams, ensuring they can effectively position Flipp's digital media offerings to advance business objectives.
- Cultivate trusted advisory relationships with both internal Flipp sales teams and, where applicable, external clients, guiding them on the optimal utilization and expansion of Flipp's media capabilities.
- Oversee and strengthen relationships with key media partners and technology vendors (e.g., Kevel, Google, Postmedia, Gannet, Contobox), ensuring strategic alignment and maximizing mutual value.
- Establish and champion a robust feedback loop with Marketing Science, integrating Customer Performance data with Internal data to continuously enhance and improve performance optimizations.
Strategic Product Performance Consultancy
- Champion the Performance Marketing perspective as a primary "customer" of Ad Tech, providing strategic feedback and requirements to the Product team to ensure Ad Tech solutions robustly support and enable performance optimization.
- As key "connectors" of core process dependencies, provide critical feedback and strategic insights regarding the performance implications of each stage and stakeholder within the broader operational framework.
- Act as the definitive product performance expert, offering strategic guidance and insights on the "on-the-ground" implications of proposed or implemented product changes, anticipating impact, and advising on solutions.
- Drive a continuous feedback loop in partnership with Product Analytics, integrating Product Performance data with Client data to iteratively improve and innovate performance optimizations and product features.
Cross-Functional Strategic Influence
- Cultivate trusted advisory relationships with internal Flipp sales teams and oversee and strengthen relationships with key media partners and technology vendors.
- Lead initiatives to establish and champion robust feedback loops with Marketing Science and other relevant teams, integrating data to continuously enhance performance optimizations.
- Act as the definitive product performance expert, offering strategic guidance and insights on the "on-the-ground" implications of product changes, anticipating impact, and advising on solutions.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Build and lead a high-performing team of 5 or more digital media experts, empowering them to execute campaigns and consistently achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Translate overarching business objectives into clear, actionable team and individual goals, fostering alignment, commitment, and exceptional performance.
- Provide continuous coaching and development, including onboarding programs, develop and implement comprehensive individual growth plans, providing fulfilling career development that advances each individual's contribution and the team's overall capabilities.
- Lead the strategic prioritization of projects, conducting thorough impact-versus-effort assessments and providing clear direction to optimize resource allocation and achieve key outcomes.
Forecasting & Financial Stewardship
- Own and direct the delivery and forecast updates, maintaining close communication with senior leadership and the team to proactively steer towards and achieve critical performance targets (e.g., Margin, Fill Rate, and performance goals).
- Strategically collaborate with Sales and Finance teams to optimize the entire media pipeline, including campaign timing, pricing structures, effort/reward balance, and margin optimization strategies.
- Provide expert consultation to Revenue/Finance and Product teams on performance considerations, directly influencing strategic pricing decisions.
- Implement oversight mechanisms to ensure all changes in performance are rigorously reviewed, and their impact on revenue and forecasting are promptly flagged and strategically considered.
What you'll bring to the team:
- 7+ years total work experience in digital campaign management
- 3+ years managing a team
- Strong project and process management skills.
- Advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in data tools and software (e.g., Excel).

Canada Base Hiring Range:
$85,000 - $120,000 CAD
