A snapshot of the role

Working alongside another Revenue Manager, you will both have split responsibility ensuring there is accurate forecasting and revenue recognition. You will also create the jobs and lead on WIP responsibilities.

You will be Finance Business Partner to the Flipside Strategists and often be the first port of call between our clients and finance.

With the support of a Biller, you will have the main goal of ensuring revenue hits, when it needs to.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will also have additional tasks such as group reporting, group forecasting or monthly revenue reconciliations.

What will you be doing?

Revenue Management

  • Partnering with your designated Strategists and monitoring what is inputted by the sales team on a daily basis.
  • Running one-to-one meetings with your Strategists on a monthly basis and provide Business Partnering on a daily basis.
  • Submit & revise pipelines for Head of Finance before the Quarterly Re-Forecasts.
  • Ensuring all revenue for the month for your division is picked up and correctly flowing through to SAP.
  • Constant review and re-phasing of the Strategists pipelines and confirmed projects to ensure the timeline is still correct.
  • Liaising with intercompany contacts to ensure revenue is processed timely & paperwork is received.
  • Making sure that the Finance Assistant clears down your invoices outstanding and sends them out to the correct clients in a timely manner.

 

Month End

  • Preparing a wrap up template at month-end with your headlines for the Head of Finance showcasing wins, client news, issues, hurdles etc.
  • Providing EOM commentary against client/project variances to the Head of Finance upon close for your strategists.
  • Liaising with the UK Revenue Controller with questions about your revenue/jobs upon submission of monthly numbers.
  • Month end journals for your division as required
  • WIP Management; ensuring jobs are ‘matched’ in the system, any questions are answered, and jobs are closed in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that timesheets are entered appropriately for T&E jobs and that backup is created.

 

Client Management

  • Setting up new Clients for your division; responsible for sending out NDA’s & Client Contracts to new contacts & adhering to the IPG New Client setup process.
  • Legal help for the Head of Finance when required & flagging any bad debt provisions.
  • General client reconciliations and profitability management with the Cost Analyst.

 

SOX & Audit

  • WIP Management and ensuring it’s coded off hitting group deadlines
  • General SOX & Audit Compliance tasks.
  • Ensuring you save all paperwork in appropriate finance drives
  • Ensure all revenue recognition has ‘back up’

Projects
