Product Manager / Digital Strategist (Health)

London, England, United Kingdom

Why join us?

At Flipside, we don’t just preach about the transformational power of technology within healthcare. We make it a reality. We get what seems like the impossible, done. Whether that means building wellbeing apps for one of the UK’s biggest influencers, helping the country lose weight through augmented reality or building cutting-edge tech for some of the world’s biggest pharmaceutical companies.

As part of The Weber Shandwick Collective, we enjoy the best of both worlds – a small, closely-knit team supported by a vast global network. We’re recognised for punching far above our weight both in terms of the quality of our output and our contribution to Weber Shandwick’s growth. As we look to expand our team, we’re seeking like-minded believers and achievers that are excited to greet a wealth of fantastic opportunities with energy and enthusiasm.

What's happening?

We are on the hunt for an experienced Product Manager or Digital Strategist to work closely with our health clients to understand what it is they need, and identify how we can solve their problems with innovative digital tech. If you have a background in consulting, product management or digital agencies in the health sector, we want to speak to you. We’re looking for a self-starter with an independent streak who can take on today’s bewildering digital landscape and make sense of it for companies big and small.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Co-create and execute product ideas in alignment with client goals, market trends, and user needs.
  • Research and analysis as part of the formulation of digital strategies to solve real world health problems. For example, competitor analysis, facilitation of user research, reviewing scientific research papers and trend detection within the health and wellness industry
  • Unpick an idea and craft the strategic thinking on shaping the concept into a feature or product that could be tested, designed and built
  • Preparation of creative briefs for our creative team comprising UX, design, animation and voice  and requirement documents for development teams comprising data & software engineers
  • Advising clients day-to-day across a broad range of projects spanning websites, mobile apps, generative AI, and voice skills
  • Owning the definition of the overall product strategy and roadmap for a couple of products
  • Monitor product performance, KPIs, and metrics, using data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and better user experience.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competition, and emerging technologies to inform product decisions - with a particular focus on digital health

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years as a Product Manager, Digital Strategist or similar role - either client facing or interfacing with senior stakeholders (with 3+ years in digital health)
  • Experience working within digital healthcare (public health and / or health tech-for-good is a bonus)
  • Experience with agile, multidisciplinary teams (e.g. software developers, designers, data analysts).
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to create certainty from uncertainty including flexibility to adapt to evolving project scopes and priorities
  • Excellent storytelling and presentation skills (both in terms of crafting a compelling written narrative and verbal presentation skills).
  • Solid product and digital knowledge; what is a good user journey/experience, how to carve an acceptable MVP, how to shape ideas into new products or large features, with demonstrable experience using data and metrics to inform decisions and measure success
  • Experience with the development of new business proposals and responses to RFPs

Even better if you have:

  • Experience in the implementation of technology within Government and a working knowledge of the GDS Service Standard
  • Experience with the use of behavioural change techniques (like COM-B, FBM) to inform the development digital products
  • Experience with accessibility and inclusivity in digital products beyond traditional WCAG 2.2 AA
  • Experience working on products as part of a wider connected portfolio
