The job

We’re the Delivery stream. Our main goal is to provide, maintain and continuously improve the platform for the rest of the company and make sure our developers, content creators, and anybody involved in creating product value have the most effective tools to do so.  We power innovation with data. 75M+ MAU generates petabytes of data you will have to deal with. All at Flo rely heavily on data to gain insights and to make business decisions. We are currently looking for a seasoned manager to join one of Delivery Stream's teams - the Data Platform team. As a Data Platform Manager, you will help define the strategy, drive requirements, and deliver products that power analytics and GenAI projects. Your challenges include building and adopting the data platform for users ranging from operations to ML experts. The current stack consists of Databricks, Looker, Airflow and multiple internal tools like tabledeploy, jobdeploy, etc. built with Java, Scala, Rust, Python and Terraform.

 

You'll be responsible for:

  • Driving and supporting data democratization with privacy and security in mind
  • Building cutting edge petabytes scale Data Platform in aaC approach
  • Enabling data workflows and pipelines. Our users generate ~5mln events per minute
  • Attain internal product-market fit and widespread product adoption among data consumers. Push internal 40%+ WAU to even higher level 
  • Be in the details (including technical). Know your team's work in depth
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure efficient and productive working relationships. Streamline Data Science and Data Analytics work
  • Lead the internal product roadmap and establish a shared vision to define priorities and improve the value of the internal product and define key product metrics 
  • Lead the Data Platform team by a combination of technical guidance, fast and constructive feedback, mentoring and coaching techniques.



What are we looking for

  • Ability to analyze data, input from other teams, market insights to translate them into product requirements
  • Experience using quantitative and qualitative insights to take data-driven product decisions
  • Able to understand the technical and data architecture. Experience with cloud-native architectures. Understanding of distributed systems, data warehousing, data governance, data quality, etc
  • 6+ years of experience working with internal users & end-users (in the role of Product Manager, Engineering Manager or similar)
  • Solid track record in Data Engineering, Data Science or Data Analytics
  • Understanding of Platform as a Product concept
  • Past team management experience: providing one-on-ones, resolving conflicts, creating career development plans, mentoring and growing engineers 

Salary Range - gross per month

€8.500 - €9.500 EUR
