The job

The People Operations Partner is a key person ensuring every employee lifecycle moment is smooth, compliant, and human where it matters.

At Flo, we’re deliberately rebuilding People Ops for the age of AI and automation. We want a team that scales through systems, smart workflows, and continuous improvement. Our default instinct is: “Let’s check if AI can help us do this faster, better, and more reliably.”

If you get genuine satisfaction from automating repetitive work, this role will feel like home.

Responsibilities/tasks

Own employee lifecycle

  • Be the go-to People Ops partner in Lithuania across onboarding, changes, time off, benefits, payroll inputs, and offboarding; delivering a consistent, high-trust employee experience.
  • Handle sensitive topics with discretion and strong judgement; manage low-risk/first-line employee relations cases and escalate when needed.

Build an AI-first, automation-driven operating model

  • Rebuild and streamline global People Ops workflows so they’re simple, auditable, and scalable - using AI tools, workflow automation (Zapier), Google Sheets automation, or lightweight scripting where helpful.
  • Create reusable “systems”: templates, checklists, workflows, dashboards, and AI-assisted playbooks that reduce errors and remove manual steps.
  • Bring an experimentation mindset: test improvements quickly, measure ROI, keep what works, and document so the team can reuse.

Compliance and operations

  • Ensure alignment with Lithuanian employment requirements, adapt to the legal landscape changes and make necessary adaptations to the internal People policies, partnering with HRBP and legal teams when needed.
  • Maintain excellent data hygiene and operational reliability in HR systems (e.g., HiBob) and local tools (SODRA/BSS), spotting issues early and fixing root causes.
  • Coordinate work permits and extensions for expats in Lithuania, ensuring timely, compliant execution.

Data and reporting

  • Be ready to support performance and reward cycles with clean data flows, calculations and reports in close collaboration with HR Business Partnering team.
  • Produce clear reporting and insights that help the People team make better decisions, wrap them into the systems that bring reliable data recurrently.

Culture & connection

  • Be a culture carrier: help new joiners land well, contribute to engagement events, deliver big team gatherings that strengthen connections across locations.

Key Results/objectives

  • Operational excellence: Employee lifecycle processes run smoothly, on time, and in line with local law and Flo policies.
  • Automation impact: Manual work reduces meaningfully through AI + automation (with visible improvements in cycle time, accuracy, and employee experience).
  • Data trust: People data in HRIS/local systems is reliable and reportable
  • Process maturity: Clear documentation, crisp workflows, and simple governance exist for core processes, enabling scale and growth.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong systems literacy: HRIS experience (e.g., HiBob) plus solid Google Sheets/Excel skills.
  • AI-first working style (must-have): you actively use AI and automation to improve how work gets done (e.g., repeatable workflows, templates/playbooks, advanced Sheets, scripts/automations, prompt libraries, lightweight tooling).
  • Strong working knowledge of Lithuanian employment practices and HR administration.
  • Comfortable owning processes end-to-end, prioritising effectively, and operating with high autonomy.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, empathy, and discretion; confident handling sensitive employee topics.
  • High attention to detail, strong organisation, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Fluent in English; Lithuanian A2+.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience prototyping automations (Google Apps Script, Zapier/Make, API-driven workflows, HR tooling automations).
  • Experience redesigning People Ops processes for scale (clear inputs/outputs, controls, auditability, strong employee experience).
  • Background in analytics-heavy disciplines (e.g., economics/statistics/business) or strong comfort with people data and operational metrics.
  • Experience supporting performance/compensation cycles and managing clean data flows.

The salary range for this role is from €3,200 per month. We remain open to discussion depending on your experience, expertise, and overall fit for the role.
