Deputy Organizing Director

Remote / Hybrid

Florida families are paying more for housing, insurance, groceries, and gas than ever before. Access to a quality education has been gutted while Republicans play politics with our schools. It’s imperative that we elect leaders who will fight to right the course.

Florida is at an inflection point. After years of being written off nationally, Florida Democrats are running ahead of the national environment. We've flipped 30 seats from red to blue since 2024, and we have a real opening to win up and down the ballot this November. We're not wasting it.

We're hiring Regional Organizing Directors to lead and develop the field organizer teams that will build the volunteer infrastructure we need to win.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Regional Organizing Directors. Coach Regional Directors to build and manage high-performing Field Organizer teams, providing ongoing mentorship, performance feedback, and professional development throughout the cycle.
  • Drive statewide organizing strategy and execution. Partner with the Organizing Director to implement campaign priorities, ensure consistent execution across regions, and adapt field plans to meet evolving campaign goals.
  • Build strong leadership pipelines. Support Regional Directors in developing Field Organizers and volunteer leaders who can recruit, train, and retain volunteers, creating sustainable organizing programs across the state.
  • Oversee regional performance and accountability. Monitor organizing metrics, voter contact goals, and volunteer engagement across multiple regions. Identify trends, remove barriers to success, and implement data-driven solutions to improve performance.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and staff development. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training Regional Directors and other organizing staff while fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.
  • Strengthen partnerships with local stakeholders. Support Regional Directors in building productive relationships with county parties, coalition partners, and community organizations to expand organizing capacity and strengthen Democratic infrastructure beyond Election Day.
  • Manage performance proactively. Provide regular coaching and accountability to Regional Directors, address performance challenges early, and make personnel recommendations when necessary to maintain a high-performing team.

You’re a Great Fit If

  • You're dedicated to building a strong Democratic Party and electing Democrats up and down the ballot. You're committed to fighting for a better future for Florida families and championing our Party's values.
  • You're an exceptional trainer and coach. You know how to get people comfortable doing hard things fast, and you have a track record of helping new organizers find their footing and succeed.
  • You develop leadership in others. You're skilled at identifying potential in the people around you, whether staff or volunteers, and cultivating it deliberately.
  • You're analytically sharp and quick to course correct. You use data and reporting systems to catch problems early, and you're fast to flag when something is off track and propose a fix.
  • You're a compelling communicator. You can confidently speak to a voter, volunteer, community leader, or staff member and motivate them to take action.
  • You're ready for a demanding campaign schedule. You thrive in a high-intensity environment.

This is an election position lasting through November, 2026. Compensation for the position will be $6,200/month plus health insurance benefits.

Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder, per FEC regulations
