POSITION SUMMARY 

The Packaging Associate is responsible for the accurate and efficient packaging of cannabis products in accordance with company SOPs and Arizona state compliance requirements. This role supports the daily operations of the manufacturing and packaging department and requires strong attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Packaging Associates contribute to the preparation of finished goods for multiple licensed brands and SKUs produced at our facility.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS 

  • Execute packaging activities including counting, sorting, labeling, sealing, boxing, and taping products according to SOPs. 
  • Meet or exceed personal and team production goals set by management. 
  • Perform visual quality control checks to ensure product and packaging meet standards. 
  • Promptly report any product concerns or discrepancies to the Lab Manager 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper sanitation before, during, and after shifts. 
  • Operate all machinery and equipment in accordance with company safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Prepare workstations for the next shift by staging necessary materials and equipment. 
  • Comply with all safety, sanitation, and compliance protocols at all times. 
  • Follow company confidentiality requirements and handle inventory responsibly.
  • Follow all compliance standards and regulations as outlined by the Company and Arizona state cannabis laws. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lab Manager or supervisor. 

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS AND ADDITIONAL DUTIES 

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S. 
  • Must pass any background checks or fingerprint clearance as required by state cannabis regulations (e.g., AZDHS Facility Agent Card).
  • Must maintain reliable attendance and punctuality. 
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a controlled environment. 
  • Comfortable working with cannabis and cannabis-related materials. 
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to changing workflows or production priorities. 
  • Must participate in on-the-job training and ongoing SOP updates as required.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude that supports collaboration and communication. 

WORK SCHEDULE & ENVIRONMENT 

  • Full-time, on-site position. 
  • Monday through Thursday; 6:30AM - 5:00PM (4-10 hour shifts). 
  • May require occasional overtime. 
  • Work is performed in a clean room or lab-like environment under strict hygiene and compliance protocols. 
  • Exposure to cannabis, packaging materials, and repetitive manual tasks. 

JOB SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EDUCATION 

  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • 1+ year of experience in a packaging, production, or manufacturing role preferred. 
  • Cannabis industry experience is a plus, but not required. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. 
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team. 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. 
  • Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
