Software Engineer, Trading Automation
Flow Traders is looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing Trading Automation team in Amsterdam. As a member of Trading Automation team, you will work within our technology landscape on creating direct impact for our core business through the development of applications that enhances data frameworks, streamline workflows, facilitate efficiency, and unlock growth prospects. In this role, you will be responsible for developing applications, services, and pipelines that deliver value through automation. Your actions will directly contribute to the performance of the company. You will also get the opportunity to interact and work closely with the global Trading Automation team and different departments to gain a well-rounded knowledge of start-to-end trading landscape, how they function and integrate within our ecosystem.
Some of the technologies we use and would like you to have experience with:
- Languages: Python (for most of our day-to-day development), Golang, Javascript, Bash
- Container technologies: Docker, Docker-compose, Kubernetes
- Various cloud tech/platforms: AWS, GCP etc
What you will do
- Design, develop, deploy, document & maintain software solutions used by various Trading units
- Streamline business processes by identifying in-efficiencies and automating them
- Provide operational support for the products and services delivered by the team
What you need to succeed
- University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or other quantitative fields
- Expertise in Python (proficiency in Golang and/or Javascript is advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
- Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka (knowledge of distributed systems is advantageous)
- Strong sense of teamwork and keen eagerness to acquire new skills
- Demonstrable interest in financial markets is a plus
- Good stakeholder management skills
