Area Turnaround Manager - Future Opportunity

 DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development and implementation of the turnaround plans to align with operational goals and timelines. 
  • Coordinate scheduling and resource allocations to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime. 
  • Work alongside operations, maintenance, engineering, procurement and HSE teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment of the turnaround.  
  • Conduct risk assessments, lead post-turnaround lessons to enhance performance. 
  • Manage budget, monitor cost performances and provide accurate financial reporting to stakeholders. 
  • Oversee contractor performances, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety protocols and schedule commitments. 
  • Responsible for planning, coordination and execution of turnaround activities.
  • Manage the team, interface with contractors, vendors and stakeholders. 
  • Ensure all turnaround work is completed safety, on time, within budget and to required quality standards. 

PERFORMANCE & TECHNICAL OBJECTIVES

  • Develop turnaround plans that meet the scope, schedule and budget targets. 
  • Track and report cost performances.
  • Achieve zero recordable incidents during turnaround execution. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements. 
  • Conduct safety pre-turnaround and post-turnaround audits.
  • Maintain high productivity and low absenteeism among turnaround crews.
  • Resolve contractor issues promptly to avoid schedule delays.
  • Ensure all work is completed to quality standards with minimal rework.
  • Achieve full system turnover and operational readiness on schedule.
  • Ensure all permits, materials, and equipment are ready before execution.

KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering or a Technical Trade Certificate with leadership experience in maintenance, turnaround and construction. 
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Management; leading organizational budgets, planning, scheduling, controls and personnel.
