The Role:

You'll work with a team of engineers from NASA JPL, Yale University, NVIDIA, and Naval Air Command at our Culver City office. This is a part-time role, 15-21 hours/week. As a junior Assembly Engineer, you work with precision and hold yourself to a high standard of quality. You are excited about AI-powered drones and curious to learn on-the-job. This is a highly flexible role that can expand as the company needs, and you’ll be part of optimizing and streamlining assembly processes. Makerspace fanatics and passionate college students are highly encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do:

  • Solder cables onto printed circuit boards according to specifications.
  • Perform cable assembly through soldering and crimping techniques.
  • Transition into broader assembly tasks including mechanical assembly and screwing components as needed.
  • Improvement to current manufacturing processes and expanding upon current standard operating procedures
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.

Core Requirements:

  • Experience in soldering and cable assembly, with a focus on wire to board soldering and cable construction.
  • Proficiency in using soldering irons, wire strippers, crimping tools, and other assembly equipment.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn on the job.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as wiring diagrams and assembly instructions. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Experience in mechanical assembly preferred, whether through design projects or university clubs.

Employment Type: Part-time

Compensation: $25/hr, 15 hours per week commitment or higher
