Flight Itinerary (About The Role)

FLYR is looking for a dynamic  Lead People Business Partner that excels at driving change management on key programs, coaching leaders, navigating a matrixed reporting organization and has exceptional Polish and English language skills.  This role will report up to CPO functionally however be supporting the business in our Poland office  as well as support remote employees in other EU locations. The key aspects of this role are outlined here however may not be limited to the below as we are a growing organization.

  • Provide strategic business partnership and coaching to people managers to positively impact the motivation, development, and retention of talent
  • Utilize people trends to develop, implement and manage HR training, projects and programs, including performance management and learning & development
  • Support deploying impactful people strategies that enable the organization to mitigate risk, perform effectively, and scale efficiently as it grows 
  • Play a key role in working with managers on talent management initiatives
  • Be the beacon of feedback in the organization by setting the example for how to give constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with the global Programs and Project Lead, People Operations/Rewards and Talent Acquisition
  • Handle complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of global company policies and processes and adapt to local law where needed (Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Netherlands)
  • Mediate and resolve conflicts, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Will also support Workplace and Recruiting initiatives as needed

What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)

When partnering with the business:

  • Becomes a trusted advisor by gaining a deep understanding of what the organization does and how each of the team members adds value.  Understands business strengths, challenges and organizational needs
  • Based on that knowledge, offers recommendations and points of view that help drive organizational effectiveness, support organizational wide communication, business objectives, change, culture, individual/team growth and performance
  • Communicates and pushes adoption of operational processes and programs
  • Ensures managers have the tools, knowledge and skills to manage their teams:  effective communication, setting clear goals, providing ongoing balanced feedback and building trust and accountability
  • Supports managers to create environments that engage and motivate teams and helps build partnerships and collaborations with other teams/organizations
  • Understands the importance of building relationships in order to be able to proactively influence managers and teams to make good decisions and communicate effectively with each other.
  • Hold our leaders and managers accountable for developing their teams, delivering/communicating key messages on our programs and supporting our initiatives

When partnering across broader People (Programs, Rewards, Ops, Recruiting):

  • Gains a clear understanding of each Center of Excellence (COE)  goals, roles and expectations of how HRBPs will support HR initiatives and programs and supports/drives the rollouts to their regions/organizations
  • Demonstrates the mindset that any and all processes, tools and programs the COE develops will have a direct impact on their client groups and, as such, provides input and help into the development, creation and implementation of the tools, etc
  • Provides opinions, recommendations and suggestions based on their experiences/needs assessments from their client groups; establishes a continuous feedback loop
  • Maintains a consistent flow of information between COEs and the business.
  • Shares insights, challenges, and specific business needs with the COEs, and looks to COEs to communicate best practices, policies, and updates to ensure alignment. Drives the customer centric element of our culture and presents this view to the COEs

What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications)

  • Experience working in a Human Resources focusing employee relations and Talent management
  • Solid understanding of employment law in Poland and EMEA  with the ability to apply this effectively as a trusted HR advisor 
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment
  • High level of confidentiality and ability to make sound decisions quickly 
  • Superior communication skills and natural relationship builder
  • Strong business acumen and collaborator in a global functional People team
  • Must speak and write both Polish and English fluently

Optional Carry-On (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience working in HR Operations and Recruiting is a plus
  • L&D background is welcome
