The Opportunity
The Enterprise Architect works with Client, Product and Engineering stakeholders to ensure the platform is well architected and meets business needs. You will own the technology roadmap that includes all business and strategic objectives. You will implement an architectural roadmap that encompasses the organic growth of the platform, ensuring all Product and Engineering actors actively contribute to the platform health.
Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. You will be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts.
What You Will Do:
- Define and implement the technology and architecture roadmap for the platform
- Ensure architecture patterns and well defined, understood and executed within the SDLC
- Develop technical aspects of the platform’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
- Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
- Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
- Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
- Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
- Communicate technology strategy to key stakeholders
- Work alongside Leadership to build a culture of Continuous Improvement within the Product Engineering team
- Lead architecture discussions for key product areas
- Lead Engineers in mentoring and training, including work on complex technical problems
Who You Are:
- Demonstrate 10+ years of enterprise architecture experience
- Demonstrable experience of 10+ years in Java programming
- Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
- Understanding of budgets and business-planning
- Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
- Excellent communication skills
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving aptitude
- Deep understanding of database design principles, complex joins, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics and isolation levels
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Capability to collaborate with Product, Engineers and mentor junior team members where required
- BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
