Residential Security Manager, East

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Residential Security Manager, to lead the development and implementation of residential security strategies and solutions for our high-net-worth family in Washington, D.C. This critical role will ensure the safety and security of family members, staff, and assets, while also overseeing the management of security personnel and vendors.

 

Core Duties & Responsibilities: Please include the core responsibilities for this position.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive residential security plans and protocols
  • Oversee the management of security personnel, including guards, patrols, and surveillance teams
  • Conduct threat and risk assessments for residential properties and recommend improvements
  • Collaborate with other security teams, including executive protection and global security, to ensure a unified security approach
  • Manage and maintain relationships with local law enforcement and other external partners
  • Develop and manage budgets for residential security systems and projects
  • Provide training and guidance to security teams on residential security best practices
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, laws, and standards for security and privacy
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in residential security
  • Facilitate a daily walk through of the structures to ensure all systems are running
  • Coordinate occasional insurance visits as requested by providers for property-related evaluations.
  • Oversee specialized installation projects as needed, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and standards.
  • Manage system checks via UpKeep ticketing system as posted quarterly; check water, HVAC
  • Pre & Post house checks for family visits

Skills & Work Requirements: Please list the knowledge and minimal experience needed to be effective in the role.

  • 8+ years of experience in residential security, law enforcement, or military
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing effective residential security strategies and solutions
  • Expertise in residential security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and alarm systems
  • Strong understanding of security protocols and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with family members, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Security, Law Enforcement, or related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPP, CISSP) preferred

Working Conditions

  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Frequent travel for security assessments, training, and site visits
  • On-call availability for security incidents and emergencies
  • Work closely with family members, staff, and external partners, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a residential security environment, with a focus on security systems and solutions

Salary Range

$150,000 - $180,000 USD
