Residential House Manager (Tahoe, CA)

We are seeking an experienced and service-driven Residential House Manager to lead daily operations and household activities for an ultra high net worth (UHNW) family residence. You will oversee all aspects of household operations, property readiness, and guest service - ensuring smooth coordination among Housekeeping, Facilities, Culinary, and Administrative teams. You are detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in an autonomous environment that values excellent judgment, collaboration and a “no task too big or small” mindset with a commitment to exceptional service.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Home management: supervise all aspects of home’s operation
- Managing all household administrative work
- Oversee daily housekeeping duties, ensuring the home remains clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Assist with personal tasks such as wardrobe management, packing/unpacking, dry cleaning, and running errands (e.g., grocery shopping, dry cleaning, personal shopping).
- Support meal service and kitchen organization, working alongside chefs or preparing meals as needed.
- Manage household inventory, restocking supplies, and liaising with vendors for necessary purchases or repairs.
- Greet and assist guests, ensuring their comfort and providing high-level hospitality services.
- Coordinate household maintenance and service providers with the Facilities team, ensuring timely repairs and upkeep of the property.
- Support event planning, setup, and hosting duties for household gatherings.
- Vetting, scheduling, coordinating and managing vendors onsite
- Travel to other family properties as needed for support.
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all matters related to the household and principals.
- Ensure safety and security to property and family through systems, monitoring and gate-keeping
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail, organization and service excellence
- High standard of cleanliness
- Knowledge of proper care and maintenance for luxury homes, furnishings, and finishes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to track and follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Flexibility to adapt to the family's schedule and needs
- Works with a high level of professionalism, trustworthiness and integrity
- Respects and values strict confidentiality
- Models a spirit of cooperation with team members, building a culture of collaboration and kindness
- Working knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail); ability to maintain company equipment (iphone, watch, laptop)
- Valid Driver License with a good driving record
- Proficient in English
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Work onsite daily.
- Bending, stooping, reaching
- Working in cramped spaces; step stools and or ladders
- Pushing, pulling, lifting up to 45 pounds
- Working with cleaning solutions and solvents
- Reliable vehicle to get to and from work or other reliable transportation
Compensation:
Compensation for this position is salary-based, with pay determined by professional experience and adjusted according to the cost of living in the employee’s primary region of residence. Total compensation may also include performance-based incentives, travel per diem, and benefits aligned with organizational standards for leadership-level residential roles.

Salary Range
$140,000 - $180,000 USD
